Information and Instructions

Unless otherwise specified, the total cost of the certification process is $250 (United States dollars) paid in two installments. However, foreign applications may incur additional cost due to associated shipping charges.

To begin the certification process, an Email needs to be sent to certifications@cyberenforcement.com requesting the application. The request should be sure to include full name, company/organization/agency affiliation, Email, primary phone, City and State information.

Instructions on the entire process of obtaining and submitting the application will be sent to the prospective applicant once our certification staff receives the Email request. Once the application is completed, the applicant needs to have it signed by (3) three "sponsoring law enforcement officers". The application provides a convenient area where these signatures may be placed.

The applicant will then mail the application, along with the first installment, a non-refundable processing fee of $50 (United States dollars) in the form of a check or money order, to Cyber Enforcement Resources Incorporated. If the applicant chooses to use the online payment option (*coming soon*), a copy of the receipt should be included with the application. Once the application is received, it will be thoroughly reviewed and completely verified by our certification staff for accuracy. All contacts listed on the application may be contacted as part of the review process.

Note: All collected information about the applicant from the application process will be kept for Cyber Enforcement Resources Incorporated internal use only and will not be distributed to any third-party outside the company unless the applicant specifically authorizes Cyber Enforcement Resources Incorporated in writing to do so.

Once the verification process is complete, the applicant will be notified by mail and/or Email (depending on what option was specified in the application) about the status of the application. In the event items may be missing or clarification is needed, the applicant will be given the opportunity to resolve such situation.

The applicant will then be given information regarding the second and final steps of the certification process, if relevant to the certification. Depending on the certification, there may be a written exam and/or a skills exercise. In most situations both the exam and the skill exercises will be able to be completed online via the Internet.

Upon successful completion of all steps of the certification process, the applicant will then be instructed to submit the final installment of $200 (United States dollars). If the applicant is from a foreign country, associated shipping charges may apply. This final installment will result in the overall cost of the certification being $250 (United States dollars - plus associated International shipping costs).

Upon receipt of the final installment, the certification will be awarded and mailed to the applicant, signed by both the President and Vice President of Cyber Enforcement Resources Incorporated.

The entire application process, from the first submission of the application to the final confirmation, can take anywhere from 30 days to 120 days. In the event the application (at any time during the process) is rejected, the initial $50 (United States dollars) will not be refunded.

Once the application is accepted and the certification issued, all documentation is permanently filed for the applicant at Cyber Enforcement Resources Incorporated. The recipient of any certification may optionally request to have their information posted on our certification website for public declaration of their certification.
